Stag Do International

If you’re planning a stag do and you fancy an international flavour, good choice!
Venturing further afield does require a bit more preparation, especially if you’re planning a stag do international destination whose culture and environment is very different from your own (think Africa, Dubai, Asia etc)

Be aware of local customs when considering holding your stag do international theme. Depending on the stag do international destination you choose, you’ll also have a few extras to think about, eg: accommodation, health, currency and exchange rates, safety and emergency, insurance, passports, tickets, transport, visas, what's on, time difference, climate and weather, to name a few.

Even on a short international trip, your stag do could be ruined because of some mishap, so it pays to be organized. Always, always, get decent insurance. And what are the health considerations? Do you need vaccinations? If someone gets sick, check out the state of Anglo-international relations and make sure you know what to do in an emergency.

Remember, a European Health Insurance Card is NOT a substitute for insurance you will still need travel insurance.

So Your International Stag Do Checklist looks like this:

• Choose the destination of you international stag do
• Make sure every stag in your party has a valid passport
• Check out visa/vaccination/special requirements
• Book your flights & accommodation and get your insurance
• Get your airport transfers sorted
• Let your stag party know all the details
• Sort your entertainment and activity programmes
• Make sure you have all the necessary accessories and props – but make sure it’s ok to a) bring them on the plane and b) bring them into the country you’re visiting.

As it's an international stag do, Make sure you get any vaccinations and visas in plenty of time – these cannot be left to the last minute!
