Stag Do Faq

If you’ve never organised a stag do before, it can a bit daunting, so here’s our stag do FAQ:

FAQ #1. What’s the first thing I need to do?
Excellent first stag do FAQ! Confirm the date of the wedding! Many best men get this wrong and don't leave themselves enough time to arrange things.

FAQ# 2. When do I have to hold the stag do?
Confirm rough dates for the stag do with the bride and groom. The stag do should be no closer than two weeks before the wedding although this is flexible.

FAQ #3. Who to invite to the stag do?
The groom, his friends from home, school, college, work and family, and perhaps his dad or future father-in-law, but you’ll have to ask the Groom about that one! The stag party doesn’t want to be too big - the bigger the group the more difficult it is for you to manage.

FAQ #4. Where do we go on the stag do and what do we do?
Again this depends on the Groom. It is becoming more popular to go away for a weekend and try some unusual stag do activities. The group’s budget and how much time you’re going to spend at said stag do!

FAQ #5. DIY stag do or use a company?
This really depends on you, the budget you have available and what you intend to do on the stag do. However, although it can be cheaper to DIY, a company can arrange everything for you, leaving you free to concentrate on your other best man duties!

FAQ #6. What goes on during the stag do?
Ritual humiliation of the Groom is traditional but don't go too far and know when enough is enough! Also, keep a kitty. It is far easier with a big group than going in rounds - especially as the night draws on. Gather the money early on and replenish when needed. Make sure you know how to get back to your hotel at the end of the night and look after the groom!
